			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Biotechnology has had a very large impact on the general technology of humanity in a very large way. It has allowed us to manipulate life itself in order to better address world problems such as hunger, disease and the production of pharmaceutical drugs.<br />
The strongest aspect of biotechnology is its ability to manipulate DNA. DNA is a powerful tool that when utilized in the correct fashion can be used for a variety of different functions. The ability to transfer DNA from<span id="more-15"></span> another species  into another or even create artificial DNA and insert it into an organism holds a very strong power indeed. Suddenly bacteria are able to produce the components necessary to synthesize synthetic drugs simply by inserting the correct DNA into their genome. A human who has a genetic condition can turn to the power of gene therapy in order to attempt treating their condition. Gene therapy has the potential to eliminated diseases such as cancer and cystic fibrosis or treat mental conditions caused by simple errors in the DNA.<br />
With all of this power comes the potential for abuse as well. Biotechnology is a technology that should be treated with ideal respect and used for purposes that can truly enhance human life.</p>

<p>Much of this can be seen in medical research.  There was a time when results from certain tests for cancer patients would have to be sent out to labs.  The results would take days, but technology has changed much of this.  Things that would take a long<span id="more-13"></span> time are now available in the same day.  Doctors are able to treat patients sooner because they are getting results sooner.  The machines that process this type of information are growing in number.</p>
<p>Technology is also changing the way that engineers build and test airplanes.  It is changing research efforts on the ground with cars as well.  All of this is slowly contributing to a better environment with less pollution.  Cars are safer because of this.  This is no doubt that technology plays a very important part in our lives.</p>
<p>Consumers are able to even get better entertainment centers thanks to technology.  Research on LCD and Plasma screens has allowed companies to invent better products for home entertainment.  Technology has fueled the nation.</p>

Biotechnology research has reached an all time high with all of the new research material out there. There is new technology everywhere, and the industry is growing rapidly. We now have technology that can look deep into our environments in ways that we couldn&#8217;t before. The new medicines and vaccines that we have are bi products of biotechnology research. We are able to implant people with working<span id="more-12"></span> body parts and are able to look deep into somebody&#8217;s brain. With all of these new sciences we have gone further then we could have imagined. When it comes to nature, we have figured out how to create our own types of plants that can help people with their healing properties. We can alter the genes inside of new plants to create even stronger chemicals and vitamins that help us maintain our immune systems. With the advances in biotechnology we have been able to live longer, healthier lives than we have been in our earlier years. Biotechnology has been around for a while but this is a new age of biotechnology and will continue to have a big impact on our health for a long time to come.</p>
